Christie Billups, D.Min. 2007, recently published a chapter in a book ... "Afterword," in Critical Service-Learning as Revolutionary Pedagogy: A Project of Student Agency in Action, ed. Brad J. Porfilio & Heather Hickman  (Charlotte, NC: Information Age Publishing, Inc.  2011), pp. 317-324. 

Jennifer Kerr Budziak, M.A. 2011, has been accepted into Northwestern University’s graduate school as a Doctor of Musical Arts student in the field of Choral Conducting, to begin in the Fall quarter of 2011. 

JoAnne Mullen-Muhr, M.T.S. 1990, and husband Mark celebrate 25 years of marriage this year and are grateful for their three wonderful children, Kristin (21), David (18) and Anna (16).

Bill Nordenbrock, M.Div. 1982, D.Min. 2008, has had his rewritten thesis-project published by Liturgical Press: Beyond Accompaniment: Guiding a Fractured Community to Wholeness. 

Libia Paez-Howard, M.Div. 2003, is the chair of the National Forum of Catechesis with Hispanics of the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership.

Elizabeth Pienta, M.A.P.S. 2001, is the Director of Mission Integration and Pastoral Care for the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago Service Corporation.

Tammy Prado, D.Min. 2006, was named president of St. Scholastica’s College in Manila.

Staci Striegel, M.A. 2011, has accepted a position as an adjunct Theology professor at Marian University in Indianapolis, IN.  She will begin her Chaplaincy Residency in the fall at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. 

Lilith M. Usog, D.Min. 2009, has been named chair of the women’s studies department at St. Scholastica’s College in Manila.

Rest In Peace

Dr. Elizabeth Browne, M.T.S. 1991, passed away after a lingering illness.  Elizabeth was a leading advocate for access and inclusion for those with disabilities.  She taught several courses and workshops at CTU on these topics and wrote a widely read book on the subject.  May she rest in peace.
